While much of Washington and Main Streets will be closed, there is still ample parking throughout Downtown Suffolk. For a map of public parking lots and a list of street closures, please click the 'MAP & PARKING' link at the top of the page.
Are there shuttles?
While there are not any dedicated Taste of Suffolk shuttles, Suffolk Transit will be offering Free Fare for transport to the festival. For more information on routes, visit their site here.
How much does it cost?
Taste of Suffolk is free to attend and there are no tickets required. Each vendor will sell food, beverages, crafts, etc. at their own set pricing. Many will accept debit/credit cards, but some may only accept cash. An ATM will be available on-site. Most activities do not require fees or tickets.
Do you sell Taste of Suffolk merchandise?
Of course we do! The central information tent on the corner of Bank & Main Streets has t-shirts and posters available for purchase. Cash or cards are accepted.
What if there is inclement weather?
We're hoping for a sunny day, but on the chance that inclement weather is forecasted, we'll post updates to our Facebook page and on our main site at tasteofsuffolkva.com. Announcements will also be made on each stage. Vendors will be alerted by the Special Event Coordinator.
What ages can use the Children's Area or Fun Zone?
We welcome kids and kids at heart of all ages in the Children's Area and Fun Zone. The only restrictions relate to size, as our bounce houses and trackless train have limitations. Axe throwing and rock climbing require a signed waiver by a parent/guardian. Children should not be left unattended in any area of the festival.
I need first aid!
First aid kits are available at each Information Tent: Main & Bank, Main & Washington, and Main & Finney. Certified staff are at each site to assist. EMS is also on standby if needed.
I lost something at the festival. How do I get it back?
Found items will be turned in to our Information Tents (Main & Bank, Main & Washington, and Main & Finney). Please stop by and describe your missing item to the staff. We'll do our best to reunite you with your item.
I need a space to relax or calm down.
We've got you covered! Stop by the old Suntrust Bank building in the Fun Zone for a quiet room to help those overstimulated relax and enjoy their time at the festival.
Do you have a baby changing station?
You bet! Stop by the old Suntrust Bank building in the Fun Zone for an air-conditioned baby changing area.
Can I bring my pets?
Leashed, well-behaved dogs are always welcome at our events. Aggressive pets will be asked to leave.
How can I be a vendor or performer?

To participate as a vendor or performer in any other Suffolk Parks & Recreation event, please contact Sarah Slate, Recreation Supervisor, at [email protected].
